Neil and Suzanne Alexander established LiveLikeLou in 2011 when Neil was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The fund was named for baseball great Lou Gehrig to honor the example he set for all people living with this fatal disease. Neil died from his condition in March 2015. But the supporters of Neil and LiveLikeLou continue to raise funds, working to, in his words, “leave ALS better than we found it.”

Through this fund they hope to:

raise awareness of ALS;
support scientific research targeted at finding a cure; and
provide care and comfort to ALS patients and their families in Western Pennsylvania.
